Our vision for the children of Hope Church is for them to know who God is, their value to Him and to grow up to know God personally.
To this end we run dynamic and engaging activities for our children and young people. Children at Hope Church have fun, develop friendships, enjoy worship and get to know who God is.
Crèche (ages 0 to 4)
Our Crèche provides a safe environment for children to play, hear a Bible story and to take part in a craft activity related to the Bible story.
Kidz Klub (ages 5 to 11)
Every child can expect a warm welcome at Kidz Klub. After welcoming each child and breaking off into teams Kidz Klub starts off with some fun and games, these games are usually loud, energetic and sometimes messy! Once we've all used up some of our energy it's time to explore who God is. At this point, we split into age groups (5s to 8s and 9s to 11s) to hear a story from the Bible and work to understand together what we can learn about God. We usually end with prayer and a lively praise song as a whole group.
Our older children and teenagers go out every two weeks for time together looking at the Bible. Other weeks, they stay in the main meetings.
During school half-terms we often arrange social activities for older children / teenagers allowing them to meet up with their youth leaders in an informal setting.
We believe that the church is a family made up of all ages and as such we love children to be part of our worship. We realise for some this might be difficult, so if your child needs to blow off some steam by running around that's ok or if you want to bring a colouring book or some other quiet activity for them to do during the worship time that's fine too. After the worship time, we invite parents to take children to their respective activities. We ask that parents collect their children from their activities as soon as the meeting has ended.
All of our children’s and youth workers undergo an enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service check and also receive training in Hope Church's Child Protection Policy.
