August Update
It’s August and the summer holidays for some. I hope that you manage to have time to rest and relax over the coming weeks and who knows – the sun might shine?!
We had an amazing time at the prophetic meeting last month – hearing God speak so clearly to us as a Church – giving encouragement and guidance for the months and years ahead. There was a real sense that under the dirt and grime around us in East London there is a sea of gold waiting to be discovered and we need to do our little bit fuelled by the power of prayer.
A group of us from Hope Church will be going to Newday on the 1st-6th August. Newday is a Newfrontiers’ Christian youth event. There are 10 young people going and 5 adults and so do pray for a fantastic time together, full of fun, laughter and most of all that everyone would have amazing encounters with God and come back changed.
During August Hope Church will continue to meet every Sunday at 11am @Sarah Bonnell School. In the week there will be Community groups whenever possible and do be on the look out for meeting up with people who can get lonely. Myself, Jen and Grace will be having a family holiday from 15th – 27th August so do pray for us that we would have a great time away and a chance to relax and recharge the batteries.
I thank God for each of you – the way you serve and bring so much to the Church. You are all wonderful gifts from God.
Love and prayers,
Mark
